The United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Central District of California will conduct a local contest to select finalists for the circuit-wide competition. To enter the local contest, students must reside in one of these counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara or Ventura. Winners of the local contest also will receive prizes of $1,000 for 1st place, $750 for 2nd place, and $500 for 3rd place. The 1st-place winners of the local contest and a parent/guardian will be invited to the 2024 Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference.
