LOCAL CONTEST: HAWAII
The United States District Court for the District of Hawaii will conduct a local contest to select finalists for the circuit-wide competition. The top three finishers in the essay and video competitions at the district court level will go on to compete in the Ninth Circuit contest. Local contest winners in each category also will receive prizes of $1,500 for 1st place, $750 for 2nd place, and $500 for 3rd place. Students must reside in the state of Hawaii.

These cash prizes are in addition to any prizes awarded at the circuit level.
