LOCAL CONTESTS
All of the 15 federal district courts in the Ninth Circuit will conduct preliminary judging of essays and videos. Some of these courts will do this by way of a local contest, which may also offer prizes and other recognition. The top three finishers in each category at the district level will move on to become finalists in the circuit contest. If you reside in a district that is conducting a local contest, you will automatically be entered into that competition.
Finalists for the Ninth Circuit Contest will be selected in May, and the winners announced in June. Additional information will be provided to you at that time.
